Collage Arts

Harrison Stringfellow are excited to have worked on a feasibility for Collage Arts, exploring design ideas and spatial arrangements within a new build development. The feasibility aims to create new artist studios and teaching hubs in the London district Wood Green, near Collage’s current Artspace 5 and to agree a long lease for its tenants.

Collage Arts are a charity organisation that operate as an active landlord to intentionally support their tenants. HSA aim to create a building that actively supports Collage Arts position as an effective provider of spaces where creativity can flourish. As we understand the art space, we will be breaking the construction down into a series of modular units that bolt together to make the internal space.  The plan is that these will be made in a temporary workshop as a community training programme. The hope is that this could be an opportunity to provide more diverse trainees ready for the construction industry. We would look to partner with local colleges and others and explore how this could be accredited with links to the CITB qualifications. This will build strong community collateral through the development of a skills and employability programme.
